Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of May 27, 2026
Clinton's Zoning Board of Appeals opened a public hearing on a 24-unit Chapter 40B project proposed for 23 Coyne Street and postponed a vote on new comprehensive permit rules to June 9. Applicant Craig Womble of Big Daddy Realty Trust told the board the project "represents a thoughtful and well-designed addition to Clinton." Board advisor Joe Pesnola, hired through a Mass Housing Partnership grant, said Clinton's affordable housing stock sits at 7.8 to 7.9 percent, below the state's 10 percent threshold that exposes the town to such applications. Town Counsel Brian Falk fielded procedural questions.
The board voted unanimously to continue the hearing to June 9, where members are expected to take up draft Chapter 40B review regulations and begin gathering residents' written questions on the 5.15-acre, R1-zoned site.
