Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of June 9, 2026

CLINTON — The Clinton Zoning Board of Appeals hired Howard Stein Hudson to peer-review a proposed 24-unit condominium project off Coyne Street and Kilmurray Street and continued the hearing to June 30. The board voted unanimously for the $16,800 traffic and civil-engineering review, choosing the firm over Haley Ward's $10,640 civil-only bid. Neighbors including Deb DeVerny and Paul O'Connell described decades-old flooding along Berlin Street and questioned whether 2023 testing data, taken in a year with roughly 14.5 inches of rainfall, still applies.

A board consultant outlined the state's MassWorks Grant Program, worth "$2 million to $5 million," as a possible funding source for aging sewer and road infrastructure. The board also unanimously granted a special permit for an auto body shop at 104 Sterling Street and adopted new comprehensive permit rules for Chapter 40B applications.
