Clinton Retirement Board voted to enter executive session to screen candidates for an administrator trainee position, while flagging a steep jump in audit costs. Administrator Patricia Hazel told the board the system's current $8,500-a-year audit contract with the firm Roselli is "going up significantly," with a quoted range of $12,000 to $14,000. The board approved the September warrant totaling $585,709.24 and enrolled four new school employees, including Beth Wade and Stacey Wright, into the retirement system.

Member James McNamara moved to enter the closed-door session, seconded by Ex Officio member Diane Magliozzi, with David Baird recorded voting "aye." The board also noted one set of nomination papers has been filed for an open board seat ahead of an October 6 filing deadline, and reset its next meeting to November 10.
